Tuna Tidbits (treats for the Cat)

Along with the dog treats, I also made all of the cats a Christmas gift (5 cats total).

Again, these are pretty easy to make, but they stink. The tuna smell was really starting to get to me after awhile.

I tripled this recipe as well because the original said they only make 12 treats. I don't know how big they are making these, but these more than made 12 treats, and I thought the ones that I made were a bit big, in comparison to the normal store bought cat treats.

I did give one to our cat when they were done. I think he wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first. He batted it around for a bit and licked it a few times. So I broke it into 2 smaller pieces for him and then he ate it. I was a bit nervous there. :)

Ingredients:
6 ou can tuna
1/4 c water drained from tuna
3 T cooked egg white, chopped
1/4 c cornmeal
1/2 c whole wheat flour

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.

Combine tuna, egg white and water. Add cornmeal and flour and blend to form a dough.
Knead into a ball and roll into 1/4 inch thick. Cut into one-inch sized pieces. (I tried this, and it was not working out for me at all. It just kept falling apart. Instead I just broke off small pieces and roll then into little balls.)
Place treats on a cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
