Feta Stuffed Chicken Burgers
Recipe from Jenn and Food, Perfect Together
Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground chicken
1/2 T oregano
1/4 t garlic powder
6 T feta, crumbled
Pepper to taste
2 Wheat sandwich buns
1 T honey
1 T mustard (I used dijon)
Other toppings: avocado, tomato, mushrooms, broccoli sprouts, honey mustard - other toppings of your choice.
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix together the ground chicken, oregano, garlic powder, feta and pepper.
Form into 2 patties. Preheat grill to medium heat. Cook burgers about 5-7 minutes on each side, until the internal temp reaches 165.
In the meantime toast the sandwich buns. Slice the avocado, tomatos and mushrooms, and mix together the honey and mustard.
Place the burger on the bottom side of the bun. Top with avocado, tomato, mushroom, and sprouts. Spread the honey mustard on the upper bun. Enjoy!
I served these with breaded asparagus.
