I love Chex!  As a cereal with milk poured over top, or in a mix.  Did you know that Chex is now gluten free?  Just a few years ago, I'd never even heard the term gluten free.  But now I see and hear it more and more often.

Gluten is a natural protein that is found in wheat, barley, rye and oats.  When a person with celiac disease eats gluten, their immune system is triggered and it begins to attack the small intestine, resulting in damage to the villi (which make up the wall in the small intestine).  Over time, this can result in malnutrition.

Chex now has a list of gluten-free recipes on their website.  I never really thought of Chex beyond cereal or Chex mix, and, of course, Muddy Buddies (or Puppy Chow, or whatever you may call it).  These recipes have opened my eyes. :)  Chex Cookie Pizza, Fruiti Sushi, Chex Brittle, and more!
